Class Information & Timetables
Adults Classes (Ages 13 & Over)
The Adults Class is generally more intense then the TaekwonKids class. We have many students who have started with the TaekwonKids program and are now attending the Adults Class (some of which are now Junior Black Belts).
As a beginner you may notice that we do train hard on a regular basis, this is because we always try and follow the "Train Hard, Train Smart" philosophy. Although we do believe in training hard, we also do believe in having fun, afterall Taekwon-do is meant to be fun.
On any Given training night you could be learning Self Defence ( Hosinsul ), Practicing Patterns, Sparring, Fitness Drills and Circuits, Listening to Taekwon-do Theory, Stetching and Strengthening your god given tools (your whole body).
Training is suited equally for both males and females, everyone can benefit from Taekwon-do.

Children and Adults both train with the best Martial Arts gear. Due to recent fund raising we now have the Dojang fully fitted with Padded Jigsaw Mats for maximum safety and protection. We have purchased Gym Equipment and Weights for our endurance and strength training.
Our Dojang is also Fully fitted with:
• Free Hanging Punching/Kicking Bags.
• Wall Mounted Mirrors.
• Thai Pads, Focus Mitts and Paddles.
• Stretching Equipment & Gym Equipment
(Weights, Weight Machines, Medicine Balls, Exercise Balls.
• 6 Proffessional (as seen in Quality Gyms) Spin Cycle
Bikes for endurance training.
• All Sparring Gear (it is recommended that every individual should get their own Sparring Gear if possible).
• An Office, Change Rooms and Amenities.
• Medical/Emergency Kits
• Most importantly, very High Quality Intstructors :).
Stretching Class
ITF Taekwon-do Newcastle has Stretching classes twice weekly managed by 1st Dan Black Belt Feonah Gibbons who was a Dance Teacher and Ballerina.
We find that the extra stretching sessions vastly improve an individuals kicking techniques. |
